Draft CA Station Location and Siting Criteria Available, Comments Needed

On December 2, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) distributed "Draft siting and location criteria" for the three hydrogen demonstration fueling stations that will be co-funded by Senate Bill (SB) 76 (143Kb PDF). For these stations, criteria have been developed in the following areas:
  • environmental impact;
  • geographic location;
  • siting and operation;
  • fuel specification; and
  • information reporting.

These criteria are available for review and comment until January 5, 2006. Comments received will be taken into consideration to create requests for proposals (RFP) for the construction of the stations and purchasing hydrogen vehicles. Comments can be submitted to Mr. Michael Kashuba, Staff Air Pollution Specialist, at 800-242-4450 or via email at helpline@arb.ca.gov by January 5, 2006.
