International Standard for Hydrogen and Hydrogen/Methane Blends Proposed

The Secretariat of ISO/TC 22/SC 25 has issued a New Work Item proposal on Road vehicles—Compressed gaseous hydrogen (CGH2) and hydrogen/methane blends fuel system components.

This NWIP is comprised of the following parts:

  • Part 1:General requirements and definitions
  • Part 2:Performance and general test methods
  • Part 3: Pressure regulator

In keeping with the ISO/TC 22 and TC 197 agreement, the NWIP is to be approved by both technical committees and, if approved, the work is to be undertaken in a joint working group structure.

All U.S. TAG members are asked to complete the response form no later than March 7, 2008 and e-mail it to Debbie Angerman, US TAG Administrator. NHA members are asked to notify Karen Hall of their views for the NHA response to this request by March 4, 2008.

Any NHA members who want a review copy of the New Work Item Proposal may request one from Karen Hall at hallK@hydrogenassociation.org.
